Freeburn Law is pleased to announce that its founder, Richard Freeburn, has been named as a 2013 Super Lawyer, and Attorney Christina Bradley has been selected as a 2013 Super Lawyer Rising Star, both in the area of personal injury.
Super Lawyers is a rating service of outstanding lawyers who have attained a high degree of peer recognition and professional achievement. The selection process is multi-phased, and includes independent research, peer nominations and peer evaluations. A statewide survey of lawyers who have been in practice for at least 6 years leads to the nomination of the best attorneys they have personally observed in action. Candidates are also added from searches by an attorney-led research staff for those who have attained certain honors or achievements. A research department examines the background and experience of each candidate. Point totals are calculated from the balloting and a qualitative evaluation steps. Candidates are grouped according to primary areas of practice. Members of a blue ribbon panel, selected from those with high point totals, review a list of candidates from their practice area. Final candidates are those with the highest point totals from each category. No more than 5% of Lawyers in Pennsylvania are selected as Super Lawyers each year.
The selection process for Rising Starts list is the same as selection process for Super Lawyers, with one exception: to be eligible for inclusion in Rising Stars, a candidate must be either 40 years old or younger, or in practice for 10 years or less. The final published list for Rising Stars represents no more than 2.5% of the lawyers in the state.
The 2013 selections represent a “three-peat” for Attorney Freeburn, who was also selected in 2011 and 2012. This is the second consecutive year that Attorney Bradley has been selected as a Rising Star.
