Annual Melissa Edwards 5k Raises Money for Womelsdorf Community Library

On Saturday, April 23rd, Gregg and Richard Freeburn attended the Melissa Edwards 8th Annual 5k Memorial Run/Walk.  The annual event raises money for the Womelsdorf Community Library in honor of Melissa Edwards, a former library volunteer.

Melissa died tragically in a car accident on March 19, 2008.  At the time of her death, Melissa was a Junior at Conrad Weiser High School, where she was a member of the Art club, and was an honor student.  Melissa loved books and was an avid reader.  She also loved serving as an volunteer at the Womelsdorf Community Library, participating in everything from Puppet Shows, to Storytime, to an Art Auction and a 5K Fun Run.

Freeburn Law has been a proud sponsor of Melissa’s 5k every year.  She was a wonderful young lady, from a great family, and the proceeds go to a very worthy cause.  We hope that you consider joining us next year in supporting the event as a participant, volunteer or sponsor.
