Freeburn Law is pleased to announce that Mr. Barone, Esq., has joined a select group of Pennsylvania lawyers to earn the high distinction of PA Certified as a Specialist in Workers’ Compensation Law. In 2012, the Pennsylvania Supreme Court approved the Pennsylvania Bar Associations Workers’ Compensation Law Section to certify lawyers in the area of workers’ compensation law. In 2013, only 149 lawyers and 32 lawyers in 2014 became certified a PA workers’ compensation lawyer.

Mr. Barone, successfully completed the 2014 process to become certified PA workers’ compensation lawyer by submitting a variety of documents showing that at least 50% of his legal practice is in the specialty field of workers’ compensation, that he has practiced in the field for more that 5 years, and that the actively participates in the Mandatory Continuing Legal Education in workers’ compensation law and related field. Mr. Barone also passed the challenging and rigorours examination for certified PA Workers’ Compensation Lawyer, which focuses on workers’ compensation law and rules and leading cases.

Mr. Barone has devoted 100% of his practice representing workers’ compensation clients since joining Freeburn Law in 2005. Before joining Freeburn Law, Mr. Barone devoted 100% of  his practice defending workers’ compensation claims on behalf of insurance carriers.
