Freeburn Law is proud to announce that the firm is a sponsor of The Vista School’s 8th Annual Golf Classic to be held Saturday, May 18, at Manada Golf Course in Grantville.
The golf tournament is the biggest fund-raising event of the year for The Vista School PTO. All proceeds from the golf tournament go to programs and equipment funded by the PTO to benefit The Vista School.
Located in Hershey, The Vista School serves children who are functioning on the moderate to severe end of the autism spectrum. The Vista School currently serves 81 children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) who range in age from pre-kindergarten to secondary school.
The Vista School serves children and families from the following nine counties throughout Central Pennsylvania: Berks, Cumberland, Dauphin, Franklin, Juniata, Lancaster, Lebanon, Perry and York.
Emily Ferguson, a representative of The Vista School PTO, said that the PTO uses proceeds from the golf tournament to buy equipment to benefit the school, such as vehicles and technology in the classroom.
The Vista School PTO also funds support groups for parents and siblings of children with autism, and provides training programs for parents of children with autism.
Ferguson said as many as 250 golfers have played in The Vista School golf tournament in previous years.
I'm deeply honored that Freeburn Law cares about the needs in our local community and is helping to provide support for children living with autism,” Ferguson said.
